All research conducted at IBR or by IBR staff conforms to regulations set forth by the World Health Association’s Declaration of Helsinki.  All protocols are reviewed and overseen either by IBR’s US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)-approved Institutional Review Board or by Salus IRB, an independent DHHS-approved and AAHRPP-accredited review board. All research volunteers are provided an Informed Consent document for review prior to any data collection. IBR Scientists and Staff are fiercely protective of their research volunteers’ rights, including the confidentiality of data. Nobody outside the IBR research team has access to any personally identifying information, and all data are de-identified prior to publication or preparation of any reports.
